Created by Loran Walker in 2000, the SoPM SIG logo
represents the philosophy of our organization. The key is symbolic of
opening doors to opportunity: for PMI, students are the key to the
professional society's success; for students, project management as a
profession is key to success. Beyond the key symbol there are other
images. The three Greek letters pi, mu and iota reflect the relationship to
PMI and are a metaphor to the university fraternities, reflecting a
community of students with a common interest - project management. Such
fraternities (typically American) also are fun-loving groups of individuals,
and SoPM SIG is such an organization.
