Students of Project Management (SoPM) Specific Interest Group (SIG) Who are we? An initiative to promote the project management profession by partnering with PMI components to facilitate student involvement.

Our SIG'S Objectives

• Serve as a "welcome mat" to those new to the project
  management industry for quick immersion in current
  practices and trends, as well as a PMI introduction.

• Provide a mechanism for knowledge transfer between
  project management experts, innovators, leaders, and
  those new to the field.

• Encourage the continued study, curriculum development
  and academic research in the project management field
  at institutions of higher learning globally.

• Encourage PMI components to sponsor/mentor students.

• Facilitate student Local Interest Groups (LIG) development.

• Plan/coordinate the PMI Student Forum, the student paper
  competition, and student involvement at the annual PMI
  Seminars and Congress.
